Who We are...

Hope on Wings Foundation is a 501 C (3) non-profit corporation that was founded to address a unique need among indigenous people of the world.

Our primary focus is to provide economical air transportation and communications for local volunteer Christian health and educational workers who are willing to volunteer their services in remote villages that have no other connection with the outside world. This work is currently centered on Papua New Guinea.

Hope on Wings Foundation is sensitive to local cultures and does not attempt to "westernize" indigenous cultures. We value the aspects of village culture that are consistent with Christian values. However, we recognize that much of village culture throughout the world is steeped in worship of the spirit world and this enslavement to powers that are bent on the destruction of the Creator's work is the cause of much of the misery found in these villages. Our intent is to bring freedom from fear of the local spirits in control of these areas by teaching them about their Creator and Redeemer who is all powerful and who actually loves them and wants them to prosper and be in good health. Many times we have seen that bringing this freedom through education reduces the child mortality rate from as high as 60% down to 5% and brings hope to a people who had no hope.

Hope On Wings Foundation is focused on the most difficult people in the world to reach. Only air transporation will provide the missing link that has kept these remote and forgotten people from the loving care that many wish to bring them. The key to success will depend on using inexpensive aircraft options that are reliable but utilitarian. Our goal is to provide this service for as little as 1/5 the typical costs of using standard mission planes and 1/20th the cost of the larger turbine engine planes. We rely on a support base of Christians in North America who have the mind of Christ in desiring to reach the forgotten corners that cannot be reached any other way than by air.

Each of our pilots will support 10 to 15 of these Papua New Guinea national volunteers by providing them with transportaion and communications support.
