Mission, Objectives and Aims
Hope on Wings Foundation is a non-profit, tax exempt foundation that was founded to address a unique need among indigenous people of the world.
Mission Statement
The gospel commission places on every believer the responsibility and inestimable privilege of playing an active roll in taking the healing power of the gospel to a lost world. This calls for living the Christian life in all its fullness and sharing the blessings of that abundant life in Christ, with all for whom He died in the hope that many will accept Jesus as their personal Savior and join the Kingdom of God. Many of those who need the gospel are in remote locations where it is difficult to travel and maintain a missionary operation. The mission of Hope on Wings Foundation is to support the endeavors of organizations and individuals that share healing, educational and gospel services with those in need and provide a channel for their logistical support while on location.
Objectives
1. Provide safe, reliable close air support for national volunteer mission workers in Papua New Guinea who provide health, educational and spiritual care to remote areas.
2. To use our resources to facilitate the physical nurture and spiritual growth of people in remote communities.
3. To give to God the glory for every achievement He grants us and to take every failure and obstacle to Him in prayer until He provides a clear path ahead and the guidance and resources needed to fulfill His will.
4. To plant this service model in local areas throughout PNG and beyond where it is needed as God blesses and opportunities arise.
AIMS
1.1 To establish mission flying operations to support volunteer national Papua New Guinea lay missionaries using utilitarian inexpensive aircraft.
1.2 To actively fund raise for aircraft and operations for support needs from a church support base built in America. Services will be performed at no charge to the laymen and medical evacuees in PNG.
1.3 To provide a medical evacuation service. People with life threatening conditions will be transported to hospitals and clinics where they can receive care. We also aim to provide these patients with a sustaining, caring service while they are away from their village.
1.4 To actively seek and foster ways of helping remote communities to develop industries that uplift the people out of poverty through sustainable ecologically responsible industry. At present many villagers in remote areas cannot afford clothing, education or medical assistance.
2 To establish a communications network to make possible medical evacuations and efficient management of aviation services.
3. To provide the transport and logistical support that groups like the Laity Mobile Health Service need, to reach out with their healing and health educational services to remote communities. They provide: immunization patrols, flying clinics, staff permanent clinics, health education, village clean up campaigns, maternal and child health and family planning services and counseling, midwifery services, gospel presentations with picture roll and video equipment.
4. To develop and maintain an interactive website which can provide a worldwide shop front for the network and give access to mission supporters to find out information about mission projects, encounter thrilling mission stories and discover ways of being practically involved in mission.
5. To offer opportunities for Flight Training at our base in the Hepler, KS.
6. To help other groups with similar goals and objectives in their missionary endeavors with the services we provide.
7. To provide stipends for volunteer indigenous medical, educational and agricultural lay workers who are willing to live in remote villages to teach villagers how to improve their living conditions and who will bring the hope of the gospel to these villages.
8. To support research in the fields of agriculture and economic development that will give remote villages an opportunity to improve their living conditions.
